August 18, 2011. The Oyster Box hotel, at the Ocean Terrace Restaurant, remembers the Portuguese settlers who made Natal their home, bringing with them a rich food and wine heritage, which the province still revels in today.
The Oyster Box’s three-course menu includes traditional favourites like Clams Bulhão Pato, Portuguese Bean Soup, crisp fried Ham Hock and Chorizo; for mains Piri-Piri Chicken, Seafood Espatada and Beef Trinchado.
For dessert indulge in the delicious speciality, Pasteis de Nata, a traditional Baked Custard tart seasoned with orange zest and vanilla, and Almond Sponge, served warm with homemade Portuguese custard.
