Slippers designed for dreams!

Reach For A Dream celebrates its second year of the Reach For Your Slippers campaign which has now gone national after a hugely successful first year here in KZN.

This year the charity aims to get more people into their slippers for one day at work or school than ever before to raise awareness and funds to make children’s dreams a reality! There are so many sick children out there waiting to have their dream fulfilled.

First and second year students from The Style Design College in Westville are hard at work creating fun, creative, stylish slippers for our Slipper Fashion Show, and 20 slipper designs have been selected by judges from Models International, Miladys and Gateway Theatre of Shopping and put into three fun categories.

Students from the college have now been tasked with bringing their designs to life for a slipper fashion show taking place at Palm Court at Gateway Theatre of Shopping on Slipper Day, Friday 3 August! The show will be repeated throughout the day at 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and the winners announced after the final show. Students will be rewarded with prizes in the first, second and third place for each category.

Your school or company can get involved by purchasing a Slipper Sticker for R10 each from your nearest Miladys store or by phoning 031 566 2220.

Check out the amazing prizes you can win too:

• For the company that buys/sells the most stickers – a 2-night weekend stay at Alpine Heath Resort in the northern Drakensberg for 6 people, B&B basis sponsored by Three Cities Hotel Group

• For the school that sells the most stickers we can confirm that Paw Paw Productions will again be coming to your school with a tailor-made theatre production

Once you have your sticker you just need to wear your slippers and sticker to work or school with pride on Friday 3 August!
