June 11, 2011. The annual Spar 10/5km women’s race was held at Durban’s North beach this past weekend. Thousands of women and men from all over the city shrugged of the early morning chill to make their way to the race.
This year’s event, the 22nd edition of the race, was won by Irvette van Blerk with a personal best time of 32 minutes 50 seconds. Rutendo Nyahora and Zintle Xiniwe took second and third places respectively.
