December 2, 2011. You’d better start saving now, because hip hop megastar Lil Wayne is bringing his worldwide “I Am Still Music Tour” to South African shores in December, and will be performing at Gateway’s music hub the Wave House on December 11 and 12.
Arguably the world’s greatest rapper, Grammy Award winning, multi-platinum artist, Lil Wayne is hip-hop’s biggest name in 2011. With more than 64 top hits since 1999, Lil Wayne (a.k.a. Weezy F Baby) is a mega artist whose popularity continues to grow. His most successful album, Tha Carter III, was released in 2008 and sold more than 1 million copies in the US during its first week of release. It included the number-one single “Lollipop” and won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.
Lil Wayne has also been listed in the 2012 Guinness Book Of World Records for the record of Most US Hot 100 Hits By A Rap Artist.
