The countdown to the Durban Good Food and Wine Show, which takes place from 8 to 11 August, has begun.
The event will see appearances from a number of celebrity chefs, including one of the most watched chefs on British television James Martin, Vivek Singh of London’s Cinnamon Club, exciting talent Anjali Pathak, and award-winning vegan baker Mellissa Morgan a.k.a. Miss Cupcake.
Some of South Africa’s biggest and most popular food personalities such as the Giggling Gourmet Jenny Morris, MasterChef South Africa judge Benny Masekwameng, and the first South African MasterChef winner Deena Naidoo. There will also be a host of local talent from The Oyster Box’s Kevin Joseph, Graham Neilson of 9th Avenue Bistro and Brandon Louwrens of The Grill Jichana.
Celebrity blogger and Durban Chef Lentswe Bhengu, who has his own website called Africa on a Plate, will be the host at the new Rhodes Sishebo Theatre which celebrates SA food culture alongside the new Spekko Spice Table.
For the first time in Durban, there will be a Woolworths Little Chefs Kitchen, aimed at children between the ages of 4 to 12 years old.
