Less than three hours from Durban, Didima is the perfect getaway for Ridge residents, with a pristine natural environment, stylish modern facilities and loads of activities for all.
On the evidence of our stay, it’s a peaceful and tranquil setting with spectacular views of the uKhahlamba Drakensberg mountain range, the perfect place to catch up on some rest and recreation while lapping up the beautiful scenery. The camp boasts an extremely well resourced Rock Art Centre and there are excellent examples of this art form in the surrounding hills and mountains.
Didima Camp has 62 two-bed luxury chalets, two four-bed cabins, a two-bed honeymoon suite and a six-bed bungalow. The two-bed chalets are back to back and an interleading door allows the chalets to be converted into a four-bed family unit. The two four-bed cabins have two en-suite bedrooms each, a lounge/dining area and a kitchen, while the six-bed chalet has three bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom.
The upmarket, beautifully finished chalets have everything required for the leisure or business traveller, including: flow fireplaces; heater and fan; safe, microwave and fridge; kettle with complimentary tea and coffee. There is also ample cupboard space, plus modern designed bathrooms with complimentary soaps and shampoos.
Visitors can either stay on a self-catering basis, or can make use of the Eland View restaurant.
Royal Natal Park: Get Mahai in the mountains.
Hiking and activities are a big deal at Didima, so fans of the great outdoors can take advantage of the natural environment and great facilities on offer.
